What is the High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC)
High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is a new video compression standard designed as part of the MPEG-H project. It also known as H.265 or MPEG-H Part 2, which is twice the compression efficiency of H.264. HEVC codec is the default Apple devices video format, such as iPad, iPhone, and other iOS devices. Compressing Any video using this new codec will result in a smaller size with lossless resolution video. The compressed video can be available in many video formats or containers, such as, AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4 and MPEG.
First solution: Download codec pack for Windows 11, Windows 10 and Windows 8 for free:

The older version of this codec was available in Microsoft Store for free with this long name HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer, but it is not available for free right now.
After downloading the HEVC Microsoft package, double-click the HEVC.Appx file to install the addon or extension into your computer. The version of this package is 1.0.32022.0.
The computer should be connected to an active internet during installation, to allow for online verification of the package’s integrity and safety and to download missing codec 0xc00d5212 from Microsoft’s website.
